George Clanton – Ooh Rap I Ya [CD]

Released July 28, 2023 on George Clanton’s own 100 % Electronica label, Ooh Rap I Ya is his first solo album in five years. Its sound draws from psychedelic trip-hop, 90s baggy rhythms, and ambient chillwave, built around candid songwriting and glossy production. In tracks like “I Been Young,” “Justify Your Life,” and the anthemic title track, Clanton blends introspective lyrics with washed-out synths, shoegaze guitar, and cinematic dynamics. Critics highlighted the album’s nostalgic palette and emotional intimacy. 1. Everything I Want 2. Justify Your Life 3. Punching Down 4. I Been Young 5. You Hold the Key and I Found It 6.
