Unwound – New Plastic Ideas [LP Clear Vinyl]

Unwound’s 1994 sophomore album, ‘New Plastic Ideas’, was a powerful challenge to both major label grunge and independent hardcore, deemed ‘not punk enough’ by Maximum Rock ‘N’ Roll. It’s tracks, from the disorienting rhythm of ‘Entirely Different Matters’ to the rapid pace of ‘What Was Wound’ and the relentless drive of ‘All Souls Day’, make it a post-punk sibling to Fake Train, with Sonic Youth influences.
