Maustetytot – Itken Jos Mua Huvittaa [CD]

Representing a more analog sound than before, Itken Jos Mua Huvittaa was recorded in Gothenburg in the autumn of 2025. The album was produced by Gustav Ejstes, known as the leader of the band Dungen, and engineered by Mattias Glav, renowned for producing Hkan Hellstrm’s albums. Counting among the most popular bands in Finland, Maustetytt also enjoy international cult fame and have toured extensively across Europe, performing headline shows in England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Greece, the Czech Republic, Poland, and throughout Scandinavia.”‘Maustetytt’ translates as: ‘Spice Girls.’ However, the two sisters Anna Karjalainen and Kaisa Karjalainen don’t sing about girl power, but about being overwhelmed. Their music has nothing to do with calm, but rather with therapy in the form of an idiosyncratic combination of catchy melodies, hyper-realistic lyrics and laconic performances.” — About Pop01.
