Local Drags – Cool If We Split [LP]

The Springfield Illinois power pop outfitLocal Drags returns to the scene with theircatchy new album Cool If We Split?Following the darker undertones of 2024sCity In A Room songwriter Lanny Durbinmade the decision to lean harder in thepop side of power pop because the worldis dark enough. The result is the sharpestpurest Local Drags record to date. Whilethe subject matter remains familiarlyheavy (depression aging isolation) theinstrumentation balances the scales. Bighooks bouncy rhythms more and more andlouder and louder guitars. Cant hear theworld if the amps are in the red.The album got recorded mixed and mastered by LukeMcNeill (The Copyrights) at his Capitol City Recordingstudio.
