This 2015 Special Edition reissue captures the rock icon at his most confident, delivering an album that blends \”grit and glamour\” with the raw intensity of rock and funk. Kravitz himself describes the record as a celebration of individuality and sensuality, encouraging listeners to embrace their true selves and \”walk tall and proud.\” Musically, Strut is a sonic cocktail described by critics as \”pure pleasure.\” It moves seamlessly through a framework of riff-driven rock, reconstituted funk, and dirty soul. From hard-hitting guitar riffs that will satisfy rock purists to the distinctive, soulful vocals that remain Kravitzs hallmark, the album is designed to be both radio-friendly and club-ready. Key Highlights: Genre-Defying Sound: A \”pick and mix\” of variety featuring vintage rock vibes, funky basslines, and berraschend saxophone flourishes. Independent Spirit: The first release on Kravitzs boutique label, named in honor of his mother, Roxie Roker. Critical Acclaim: Praised by AllMusic for its \”purposefully trashy and unapologetically fun\” energy. Special Edition Reissue: A high-quality CD release of the 2014 studio sessions. Whether you are a lifelong fan of his 90s classics or a lover of modern soul-rock, Strut offers a solid, danceable, and \”unapologetically fun\” listening experience that proves Kravitz remains a premier architect of rock and roll.
