Hocico – Unseen Horror Scenes [CD]

Mexican electroindustrial icons Hocico return with a new descent into the abyss: Unseen Horror Scenes. On this latest studio assault, Erk Aicrag and Racso Agroyam dissect the digital age’s paranoia, addiction, betrayal, and spiritual decay with surgical precision-no escape, only confrontation. Track by track, Unseen Horror Scenes drags listeners through algorithmic madness (“Brainrot”), online cowardice (“The Screen”), scorchedearth fury (“Hey T!” featuring Rafael Reyes of Prayers), and the smoldering ruins of a “Fallen Paradise.” From the opening attack, “Dark Paradigm,” to the apocalyptic closer, “Echoes of the End,” the album pulses with hyperkinetic drumandbass injections, punishing industrial rhythms, razoredged EBM sequences, and Erk’s unmistakable, venomlaced vocals. Raw, furious, and disturbingly accurate for our times, Hocico confront modern decay headon by critiquing it, amplifying it, distorting it, and ultimately making you dance inside it.
